Blue Butterfly Wedding
Ideas for a butterfly centerpiece?
Ok so I am having a butterfly themed wedding the main colors are baby blue, brown, ivory, and possibly a darker blue or purple. If anyone has any ideas for a centerpiece that I can make prefer the do it yourself ones over the overly priced ones, please share your ideas. If anyone has any other suggestions let me know. Thanks 
I saw a topiary in the Lenox china/gift catalog [you could go online] that is a topiary with silk butterflies on it. I thought it was cute.
Topiaries are easy to make, and fairly inexpensive, just a base filled with plaster of paris, a dowel, some styrofoam, some artificial greenery, and a little confetti or dried moss to fill up the base with. And a little paint if the dowel is going to show. I made one, and my Realtor gave me two as gifts for buying a house from her. All cute. I got my supplies at Michael’s, but Hobby Lobby might have them too. I used clay pots, but beware, plaster of paris stains them permanently, and it shows on the finished product.
And, Michael’s at Xmas had packages of butterflies, each in a different color. Purple was one of them, and I bought them for a wreath I made for a friend.
And HellsBells is right, you are not limited to prepackaged butterflies, a crafter could make them from paper, or other materials. Check out the sites she mentioned, and try Martha Stewart online. Martha has everything else, she might have hand made butterflies.
I adore the butterfly bouquet in Hell’s link. If that is too much for you, put a few in a floral arrangement.
