Colored Bow Trim
wedding colours- which shade where blue and purple?
ok my colours are blue and purple and i would like to use a combination of shades.. first of all my bridesmaid dresses are a dark deep purple and i was thinking of having the trim and bow of my flower girls dress a light purple then my junior bridesmaids being a purple in between those..now i no its tradition to have the mens ties in same colours but i want them blue, and was thinking for the groom (my partner) to have a baby blue tie then for his grooms men a darker blue then page boy a light blue..
wow that was long and you were probly lost with the first line, but if you got all that , what do you think?? and what actual shade of blue for each? also the grooms men will notbe walking down with bridessmaids im having them already standing there with the groom.. thanks

In theory I like what you are doing, but I would do something to tie the blues and purples in with each other. Have the girls in the deep purple, that’s fine, but add a pale blue ribbon or sash or some kind. Maybe put the flower girl in a blue dress with a purple ribbon/sash. It’ll give a reason for the guys in blue, rather than having it look like they were supposed to be in a different wedding! For shades you can use pale silvery blues, baby blue, periwinkle would look nice too. I would definitely not go dark blue/navy. You have no real contrast at that point with the dark purple.
Have your flowers done in shades of purples, which is what I did. I had mini callas in deep purple, freesia in 3 shades, lavender roses, etc. and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Throw in some off white/ivory/cream for accents.
