A Cake Topper for the Memories
Before we begin, you might be wondering what exactly a cake topper is. Well, the word itself gives the answer away and I am sure of the fact that you are thinking of it as something that sits on top of a cake. That is correct, because a cake topper is simply a piece of decoration that may represent a theme or a symbol, and is usually put on top of a cake to make it even more special and give it that extra zing it needs.
Cake toppers are not to be eaten but they are to be kept and stored. There are a number of occasions that such a cake topper can be used on; weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, office parties, etc. They are just a symbol of remembrance long after the event or the party is over. For example, after the cake is eaten on your wedding day, the cake topper is something that will act as a reminder of all the special memories that you shared that day.
For weddings, bride and groom cake toppers are the most famous kind of cake toppers that are made. They usually consist of a couple holding hands, or ballroom dancing together and this is placed on top of the cake as a symbol of love between the two uniting souls on that very day. This cake topper thus can be kept in a box and even be given to their children when they get married in order to use as their cake toppers. Thus, it is a great piece of sentiment as well.
For birthdays, people use funny cake toppers too. These might consist of cartoon characters or just some funny looking people doing funny things, or a funny person. Many such cake toppers can even pop out from the top in order to blow out confetti and make the environment even livelier. They can even be shut back again and kept as a keepsake for the years to come.
Monogram cake toppers are also quite widely used for people who have office parties or other such parties in which case the cake topper consists of a monogram of any kind that they wish to have. All these cake toppers also make a good present. For example, you could have a very intricate cake topper designed for a friend’s birthday and present it to him or her and put it on their cake before they cut it.
If you want to propose to someone, you can even put a ring inside a specially designed cake topper and give it to the love of your life. Before cutting the cake, you can ask him or her to open it and feel amazing.
