Invitations Reply Cards
RSVP online or by phone instead of reply cards?
I am trying to think of ways to help the environment in my everyday life, so why not try to cut out as much paper as possible with wedding invitations? Especially with online sites that allow you to have guests RSVP there? What do you think?
Sites are good, but nothing is as reliable as e-mail where its date and time stamped. We made a special email address (for example: johnson-smith_wedding@whatever.com) And asked people to email, also, for the less technologically advanced crowd, have one phone number on each side (bride and groom) to call. (Be sure whoever you pick has a list of guests right by the phone to check off the RSVP’s.)
We did this and it worked perfectly and people thanked us for not having to mail out reply cards and its a GREENER option. Just include a small single slip in the invitations that says something like: “We are goiing green! To save some trees please RSVP via email or phone numbers provided! Thank you!” – Joe and Sue
Your guests will thank you for the convienence, you will save trees and cash in postage in the reply cards.
