Party Cake Stand
Fondant (or smooth covering) for a cake that will be outside?? HELP!!!!!?
Hey,
I am doing a big round 2 tiered cake for a graduation party in July, it will be around 90 degrees and full humidity outside. The party will be outside in full sun at the park. I usually use butter cream frosting that consists of equal parts butter and shortening (among other normal frosting ingredients) and I cover that with a rolled butter cream that I use to substitute for fondant (I hate the taste). Does anyone know of a smooth covering a cake that will stand up to this kind of weather and wont taste horrible? A recipe would be awesome as well as personal experience and tips on how to work with it. Please help!!!

I cans never make frosting without butter that turns out good, try using ready made that way you can guarantee it wont melt and you will like the taste.
