Penny Flower Something

My church sent me flowers and had three pennies in the bottom, this is something?

So I broke my jaw and Last Saturday my youth group from church sent me tulips. It's been a week, and I went to go and then pour it out, and have three cents on the bottom, and nobody in my house, said that put them there. Does this represent some of the church, or is it just random? Hmmmmm. Any input would be great, thanks!

M. Halley is correct. Sometimes people put pennies in vases of cut flowers because the flowers will absorb trace amounts of copper and its flowers last longer. No important messages related with these pennies.
