help with painting artificial rose petals?
i make hair accessories with artificial flowers and artificial rose petals. i was asked to do a wedding and need black rose petals, ive never had to make black ones before (im new at this) does anyone have any helpful tips on what to use to paint them so that they look pretty? thnx for the info
Like any other rose petals, you need to layer the base color on the brush with something lightly in contrast. When painting pink petals, you double load the brush with pink and cream or some other combination. For black petals, I would suggest a deep violet or red color for the double load. Experiment with a few different options and see what the wedding party prefers. You may also wish to use some very fine metallic pigment or even glitter to give it a less “dull” look if you don’t like the final choice.
