Interior Paint Schemes?
I’m moving into a new place and I plan on painting it. The area i’m begining with is a “T” shaped living room/dining room. The dining room would be the vertical part of the T, and the living room would be the horizontal part.
I want the area to be warm and inviting but also very masculine. I like dark rich tones, like royal bule/chocolate/lavender (going out on a limb with that last one)
Only thing is that its not a very big area and i’m scared that the dark colors will make it look even smaller. Any tips? The enterence to the area would be at the bottom left corner of the T. I don’t know maybe that would influence the painting scheme some how.

If you like lavender, try to use it as an accent in either your art or maybe some accent pillows. Human flesh tones (any race) don’t always look great in lavender, so use it sparingly.
If you went with a rich caramel color or coffee-with-cream color on your walls in both the LR and DR, it would visually expand the space. Then, you could bring in your chocolate and/or blue with furniture and rugs. Accent with one unexpected color (lavender, maybe?) and find a unique focal-point piece of sculpture or glass for your dining room table which unites all your colors and you’ll have a great look.
