With weddings comes a range of symbols & traditions. For instance, in a Muslim wedding the couple receives eggs as a symbol of fertility, whilst in Christian weddings the couples are showered in rice. The wedding veil is a symbol of modesty & purity & floral bouquets were originally used to ward off evil spirits & would be made up with fragrant herbs.
Bells are another wedding tradition & have a strong association with the occasion. Church bells ringing after a wedding ceremony are rejoicing in the union & wedding bells appear as motifs throughout many elements of a wedding. One of these is the wedding favors, so here are some suggestions for bell favors:
- Give silver bells presented together in a neat little box tied with ribbon & a thank you tag for a stylish wedding favor.
- Tie miniature bells in pairs around your wedding favor packages such as bottles of bath foam, beverages or even adorning the top of favor boxes or bags.
- Why not give your guests bell shaped wedding favors in the form of foil wrapped chocolates in silver & gold.
- Use larger bells are place card holders & add a tag that says ‘Ring Me’. Every time a guest does you & your new spouse are to kiss!
- Be creative with the handles on your wedding bells. For instance they can be shaped like a couple kissing, heart shaped or maybe an angel.
- Silver plated wedding bells are the most common favor, but you could wow your guests with crystal or glass versions which could double as paperweights or ornaments when they get them home.
- For those with a larger budget you could choose personalized bell wedding favors. You can have anything printed on them, from flags to pictures of yourselves or choose a design that coordinates with your wedding theme. You could also have them engraved with your guest’s names.
Bell wedding favors are a wonderful choice particularly if you are looking for something a bit more traditional. They are a wonderful of showing your guests your appreciation for them joining you in celebrating your wedding.
