What did you do with your unity candle after the wedding?
Ever light it up again? Lights go out emergency candle?
In a box somewhere? What did you honestly do with it?
good question! whatever you do with your candle, just make sure both you and your husband feel the same about it.
Perhaps for him it doesn’t symbolize or mean as much as it does for you. As far as I know, ours never left the chapel, however I wouldn’t be surprised if I find out my wife kept it.
So if the candle is important to you, just tell your husband it is and keep it. Don’t expect him to be too thrilled with the candle either. The point is, as far as you both know what each other feel about certain objects and what they stand for, no one will think waxing the car using the bride’s veil is a good idea.
There are plenty of unity symbols and artifacts in a relatinship, for me my wedding band (ring) is all I need.
