Wedding decoration and favor ideas?
Our wedding is cetered around this quote “when i first saw you i was scared to talk to you when i talked to you i was scared to kiss you when i kissed you i was scared to love you now that i love you i promise to love you forever” and our colors are white red and black. what are some good party favors and decorations to incorporate into oor wedding?
I think I would choose a different theme. Your “quote” while quite lovely, is full of the word “scared,” which at this point should not be in your vocabulary – especially about your confidence in your choice to marry. Fearing something is really, really negative and sounds like you’re setting yourself up for failure.
How about the song “the first time ever I saw your face” (as sung by Roberta Flack) as a related but more positive theme instead? Here are the lyrics:

OK so you have all kinds of images to work with here – sun rising, moon and stars against dark and empty skies, birds, hearts, kisses…
Now then, your red and black color scheme would be great here – Your favors could be red kisses (you can use Hersheys or maybe “chocolate lips” wrapped in red foil) that are held in tiny little black boxes with red ribbons.
Maybe you could devise a sunrise background, with the silvery moon setting and the golden sun rising (serve tequila sunrises as your “signature drink”)
OK you get the picture –
Bottom line dear one, your quote is lovely but it simply contains NO images you can draw from to make a reception theme. I would not even consider using it as part of your vows. That’s because even though the narrator states that he/she promises to love his/her S/O forever, that promise was exacted from fear. Indeed, the word “scared” appears no less than three times, which says to your friends and family that you’re too scared to be married right now.
Scrap the idea and go with something else.
Otherwise, if you’re that scared to move forward with your relationship than this quote states, don’t get married. You’ll be unhappy.
