What should I discuss with my wedding florist?
My wedding is 7 months away and I just booked two appointments with florists for next week. What should I expect? Do they usually negotiate, and should I try? Anything that I should remember to ask? Obviously, besides budget, money, delivery, types of flowers, etc.

1) Ask if there’s a cost for a change-order (if you change your mind and want more/less/different flowers).
2) Ask if they have a portfolio to show you. See if they have references you can call too.
3) Check online with the Better Business Bureau, and maybe poke around online for local reviews too.
4) Ask how long they’ve been in business.
5) Ask how many weddings they do in a typical week during the month you’re getting married, how many staff members they have working on those weddings, and how long a job usually takes them (that might help you decide if they’re over-booked!).
Take pictures with you to show them what you want. I took a photo from a magazine and I was so happy with the results! Are you stuck on the idea of certain flowers, or are you just going for a certain look? If you can be flexable with flower types, then it’ll cost you less in the end.
