How can I get people to mind there own damn buiness about our wedding, money, family etc?
I get married next month and everyone, I mean everyone over the age of 3 is asking,
Why are you getting married,now?
What about your careers?
What about your children? When are you going to have kids?
Who is invited and on and on an on.
They want to know how much money we make, etc..
Got any combacks.
I remember going through the same thing. As I recall, it hasn’t stopped either! (We’ve been married almost 4yrs now & have a son!) I think people like to “escape” from their own lives by caring or invading (depending how you look at it) others lives. Many just feel a desire to “be a part” of something.
Just remember it is YOUR & your FIANCE’S life and decisions. You can be very suttle in your respose by simply answering with, “We’ve decided to ….. because it is what’s best for us.” OR in the case of your earnings, a short, “we don’t discuss our finances with others as a rule.”
Then… change the subject. Some will take the hint and others… well… you may just have to be blunt with them. Congrats on your wedding & best of luck to you!
