Wedding Shower Favor
How do you stop a bride from taking over wedding shower when she isn’t paying for it? and the rehearsal dinner?
I am planning a wedding shower with the bride’s mother. She is a nice lady. My problem is the bride… She continues to interfere, and her mother enabling her. I am paying for the majority of the shower and the bride is telling me what shower favors I am to give out, what gifts and how many attendees will receive a gift, and who will help set up for the shower! She even purchased all of the shower gifts, which I do not want to use. I can’t believe it. I am also planning the rehearsal dinner, and she is constantly telling me what I am going to do for that as well! How do I politely tell her to butt out, her mother won’t because this is her daughter’s wedding. Problem is, it is also my son’s wedding too.

As far as the shower gifts she purchased, you can give them to the designated receivers as a token from the bride herself-problem solved.
The shower favors and who sets it up is totally in your court. Ditto on the gifts you planned on distributing.
When it comes to the rehearsal dinner-you handle that YOUR way….it’s yours to give, you are the hostess, not the bride or her mother.
I warn you, you will do a lot of smiling and nodding…can’t be helped.
