Why do white LED lights look blueish to me?
I was looking at these LED desk lamps over at the store and their white light had more than a hint of blue to it. Or are they really blueish? Why is this? Not that it bothers me, I’m just wondering.
It is a problem with their spectrum of light emitance.
You can look it up more on wikipedia. In short, their white light isn’t exactly as white as you might think. And it always is in contrast with the yellowish white light of normal bulbs. If you are really used to light bulbs in home LED light will seem a lot more blue in your home.
