Your Wedding
Is it bad etiquette or tacky to tell people about your wedding menu?
A couple of people coming to my wedding in July have asked if I will have steak or other foods, and I want to just tell them the entire menu. Is there any sort of bad etiquette in telling people about your full wedding menu? Should I consider putting my wedding menu on my wedding website? I was going to include information about the hors d’oeurves, soup, salad, the entrees, wedding cake flavors, and dessert station options.
I don’t think it’s tacky at all, but I personally would not put it on the website. When people see things in writing like this, for some reason it can bring out this need to “comment” on it, and you may find yourself defending the choices, hearing more than you ever wanted to know about food allergies and preferences, etc. You’ve got a great, varied type menu, and you don’t need or want to go down that road.
